No matter if you're balancing on your head, forearms, or hands, there's plenty of opportunity for you to quite literally flip your perspective and begin to see the world differently. Learning inversions is no easy feat and is hugely rewarding for that very reason, whilst teaching us patience, dedication and determination.

This workshop will take the time to not only break down inversions safely so you can truly understand both the mechanics and psychology behind them, but also to learn how to fall safely. That's one thing to be sure of in an inversion journey - plenty of falling over!

Whether it's your first time going upside down or your thousandth, you'll leave this workshop with a wide array of drills and progressions, a strong sense of self-belief and a big (perhaps sweaty) smile, all of which you can bring into your next practice. Suitable for all levels, all you need is the willingness to try!

Expect plenty of falling over, intentionally at first so that you're safe even when it's unintentionally later. This workshop will take the time to break down the world of the upside down so you can truly understand both the mechanics and psychology behind inverting, leaving you with a wide range of drills and practices you can use to keep trying at home and in your next class.

Backbends

Cultivating a regular backbending practice is one of the healthiest things you can do for your spine, and the kindest for your heart. In today's world we spend so much time rounded forwards over our phones and computers that we need to open the front body more than ever. This workshop will teach you the proper technique to safely backbend, with drills and progressions you can take home to embed into your personal practice. We will explore different types of backbends and appropriate counter postures, how to to transition between them, and learn how to properly 'flip the grip', all the while opening up our hearts to love and compassion, both to ourselves and those around us.
